On the course

Hello from the golf maintenance staff, I hope everyone is enjoying this warmer than normal weather we are having this year. The weather has allowed our team to keep some color in the greens without painting for the first time in a few years. The warmer temperatures are also pushing our pre-emerge dates up by a couple of weeks. We will be spreading our pre-emerge for spring and summer weeds the last week of January or the first week of February, this is a couple of weeks earlier than we normally would.

Most of you, that have played the course, have noticed the levels of the ponds, the ponds are filled by rain water and we finished 2011 around 14 inches below normal. When we do have that large rainfall event, that happens normally in this area, the ponds will refill themselves and return to normal.

The next time you're on the course, let us know what your favorite feature is right now.

Thank you for your support and get out and play.
