"I like our club because it is an oasis, a place for me to retreat to.  I utilize the golf course as a place to entertain clients and prospects certainly, but also as a place for me to come to ‘sharpen the saw’ (to quote Stephen Covey) when I am affected by information overload.  The pool and waterslide mean a tremendous amount to my wife and daughters who often say they feel as though they have embarked upon a “mini-vacation” 20 minutes from our home.  Like going to Tybee, spending time at the Savannah Quarters Country Club feels like you are removed from the complex demands of modern life, if but for a short time."

"While healing from a skiing accident, I look out my sunroom window at #10 of the new Greg Norman Course at Savannah Quarters Country Club. At 67, I think my downhill skiing days are over, but lucky for me, golfing on the great new course is just beginning.

Reflecting on a dozen rounds or so I played before my accident, I especially remember the tee shot views. You can see the hazards and usually the pin. I like that!  He gives you some room for drives; even for someone like me, known to spray the ball around.

However, it gets tougher on the shot into the green, which is usually flanked by a pond on one side and a gaping sand trap on the other. If I elude those but miss the green, the nice thing is you can chip and run the ball. Putting is true, but tricky, with very subtle breaks, which are often not seen.

The course holds challenges for any level of player. I think everyone in the family will enjoy playing this new course!"

"I am excited about the new Greg Norman Signature Golf Course.  I believe that it will be a fantastic asset to Savannah Quarters and that “people will be standing in line to join the club and buy property here.”

"One thing I have been telling people in regard to the golf course modifications is that the course is still challenging, but it is much more fun to play."

"I very much enjoyed the Woodyard course prior to its renovation.  From a golfer's perspective, the Norman design team has made the Savannah Quarters course considerably more playable while maintaining multiple levels of difficulty (depending on the selected tee from which the course is played).  Each hole has more character, and the sightlines and hole layouts are memorable.  As a resident, even though we are spoiled with the world class layout in our backyard with low (but growing) membership in the course's infancy, I have no doubt the course will have a positive effect on the development, and I am excited about our future here."

“At Savannah Quarters Club, you are treated first class all the way.  There is a huge difference in joining a private Club versus a semi private Club and it’s in the way you are treated.  The staff is fantastic and very professional from The Golf House to The Club Grille.  With our staff, their jobs are more than just jobs!“

“Our first day at the pool was like spending a day at a resort.  We ordered our lunch from the Club Grille. It was delivered in a timely manner and was delicious.  After lunch, Kim relaxed at the pool with friends, while I hit balls on the range.  We enjoyed a great work out at the fitness center and headed home.”
